Let it Snow...

We had 9 1/2 inches of snow at our house. This was actually taken before it stopped snowing but you can sort of see how deep it was.

Can you see the ducks walking on the ice behind us?

9 Months Old

Abby had her 9 month check up yesterday and got a fabulous report. She weighs 18.8 pounds (50%) and is 29 inches long (90%). At home, she is busy crawling, pulling up, digging in the trash, clapping for our dog Sassy, and practicing her "B's," "D's," and "H's" of all things. We are so fortunate to have such a healthy, happy baby!

May I please play outside?

Last weekend, we had another dose of wintery weather and the coldest weather I have seen in my whole short life. It was a nippy 7 degrees one morning! Mommy says she has never seen such cold weather either, at least not in Texas. Anyway, after watching me pitifully gaze out the window for what seemed like hours, Mommy and Daddy finally agreed to let me play outside for five minutes. You can't tell from the picture, but I giggled the whole time I was on the sled.

3 Generations of Friends

While this was not the complete group, Abby and I were able to visit (and meet) several friends while we were in Emory. Don't we all have such cute kids?

Baby's 1st Christmas

Abby Grace's first Christmas was an absolute delight! She attended the Selmon's annual Christmas party on the 23rd. Although she had a sweet Christmas cold, she still enjoyed meeting everybody and, as you can see, was enthralled with Spencer's guitar. I think she would have listened and played for hours. Between that and her "singing" of Christmas carols throughout the holidays, we may have a musician on our hands. Christmas Eve was also eventful. I don't think Abby quite understood what the whole milk and cookies for Santa thing was all about, but she knew she liked it upon sampling an Oreo. Christmas morning was filled with lots of goodies from Santa, including a train, baby doll, book, and clothes. All of the presents were nice, but she especially liked the wrapping paper and boxes! Thanks to all of Abby's grandparents, family, and friends for making her first Christmas such a special one.
