Don't you just love the flavors of summer...watermelon, lemonade, homeade icecream, tomatoes straight off the vine. Abby spent the morning begging for the watermelon on the counter. I think it was worth the wait!

Happy 4th of July, Ya'll
We made our annual trip to Stamford for the 4th of July. The parade was a little overwhelming for Abby again this year. The rodeo, though, was a big hit! Abby squealed and clapped for the horses in the grand entry and watched attentively during the calf roping. She even got to have her first taste of cotton candy and fresh squeezed lemonade! Kindermusik
Every Monday, Mommy and I go to Kindermusik. This week Daddy tagged along to take a few pictures and see how much I have progressed throughout the few short weeks I have been attending. We get to sing, dance, play with instruments like the shakers in my hands, do baby exercise and massage, and learn funny rhymes. My favorite part is definitely the dancing; in fact I often twirl in circles when the rest of my friends are sitting beside their mommies doing the preferred activity. Ms. Celeste, my teacher, promises Mommy that this is okay though...something about wanting me to be able to express myself freely. If you want to know more about Kindermusik, check out their website at http://www.kindermusik.com/. It is an amazing program that has spiked my already high interest in music!
Baby Birds
We have been the proud owners of a couple of porch birds throughout the spring, who so diligently built a nest and layed eggs. There were originally fours babies, but sadly only three made it. They have been working on it for a couple of days, but yesterday they all took flight. The interesting part though, is where they decided to spend the morning...perched on the handlebars of the little metal tricycle on our front porch. Even more interesting, much to Abby's delight, the mama bird continued to return with food for them as they sat there.

10 Year Class Reunion
For those of you that check our blog regularly, I apologize for not posting in so long. But you will shortly see why! Mind you, it doesn't help that I left the memory card to the camera at home for the week that we were gone and have had to download the few pictures I have directly from the camera. Difficult? No. Different? Yes.
From there, we drove on to Arlington where we met our friends, Josh and Amy Damron and their two children, Wayland and Dane, at a Rangers game. Even though the Rangers lost, we had a nice time eating dollar hotdogs and visiting. Abby especially enjoyed running around, chasing her plastic baseball, in the children's section.

Finally, we arrived in Emory for my 10 year class reunion. On Saturday, we had lunch at the park with the kids and dinner at the fairgrounds that evening. This is a picture from the park. It was fun to see everybody again and see how people had changed, or not changed as was generally the case. We were also able to stay and visit a few extra days with Gran and Grandpa.
On our way to Emory for my 10 year class reunion, we stopped and spent one night in Aledo with Jeremy's sister and her family. While there, Abby had her first "big pool" experience (other than a quick dip last summer). She wasn't very sure about the water and not having her footing underneath but you can see that once we put her in the boat, she was all smiles! The other picture is of her and her cousins, Kelsey and Braleigh. Thanks for letting Abby swim with you.
