15 Months Old

Abby had her 15 month well-check this morning. She is 31 inches long (75%) and weighs 22 pounds (just less than 50%).

Music in the Park

Each Monday, the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra sponsors an outdoor evening concert at the botanical gardens. Last night, the genres were classics and Broadway. Because of our love of Broadway, and our desire to share this enthusiasm with Abby, we decided to go.

Before the concert began, we were able to spend some time wandering through the various gardens. Abby's favorite was the tropical garden, complete with a waterfall and macaw that told her bye as we walked off.

First Haircut

I was sooo good for my first haircut. Mommy held me in her lap while the nice lady clipped away at my hair. I periodically had to turn my head to see what she was doing to me, but I never once fussed. Well, I didn't like the cape very much because my arms felt trapped (it is just on for staging purposes in the picture), but once they took it off, I never fussed again. So how do you think I look? I think I look the same, just less stringy. And for those of you who might be worried, I still have my curls in back.

Happy 6th Anniversary

Mommy and Daddy celebrated their anniversary on Saturday. DMama came to Amarillo to keep me while they went to the movies. Then, they came and picked us up so I could go play Putt Putt with them. Rather than playing traditional Putt Putt, I played "toss" Putt Putt with my pink ball and just drug my putter along behind me. I was pretty worried about the whereabouts of my ball when the 18th hole ate it. After I went to sleep that night, Mommy and Daddy left again to go to a nice dinner at Bourbon Street and listen to jazz music.

Summertime Flavors

Don't you just love the flavors of summer...watermelon, lemonade, homeade icecream, tomatoes straight off the vine. Abby spent the morning begging for the watermelon on the counter. I think it was worth the wait!

Happy 4th of July, Ya'll

We made our annual trip to Stamford for the 4th of July. The parade was a little overwhelming for Abby again this year. The rodeo, though, was a big hit! Abby squealed and clapped for the horses in the grand entry and watched attentively during the calf roping. She even got to have her first taste of cotton candy and fresh squeezed lemonade!

Midland

We finally made it back to Midland for a visit last week. We had such fun catching up with friends and eating at our favorite restaurants while we were there. Notice Abby is missing in the bottom picture; she was asleep.
