See us feeding the birds? The looks on Abby's and my faces described our opinion toward them perfectly. Abby actually started out holding the stick of food but as soon as a bird landed on her stick she started shaking it in an attempt to get rid of the bird and dropped her stick.

Colorado
For the tail end of Jeremy's spring break, we took off to Wolf Creek for a quick ski trip. Technically, Jeremy is the only one that skiied, but we all had fun. Following is a quick chronicle of our trip.

a try while we were there. While Abby loved sledding last winter, she must have just been too little to know any differently because she only went down once this year...and said she didn't want to go again. Oh well, Jeremy and I had fun.
Within 45 miles of Amarillo, Abby and I were both asleep in the backseat. We were super tired. I think Jeremy was questioning why he had taken us along at that point, but we just needed a short nap so we would be ready for the adventure to come.
On the first day, Jeremy skiied. Abby and I went to the resort with him for a while. She really wanted to ski (of course, she is still too little) so we decided that I would climb part of the way up the bunny slope with her and let Jeremy carry her the rest of the way down. So huffing and puffing, up we went, just for her to decide that skiing down with Daddy wasn't such a great idea afterall. So down we went...on foot again. On Day Two, we traveled to Creede where we had a delightful breakfast in a little cafe there, did a little shopping, drove part of the way up the old mine road (Abby pictured w/ Jeremy), and played a little on the frozen pond (Abby pictured with me).
Later that afternoon, we traveled across to Pagosa Springs and had a picnic in the park by the Rio Grande River, felt the hot springs, and did a tad more shopping. We also gave sledding
On Sunday, we stopped at the sand dunes not too far out of South Fork. The Easter bunny must have been there shortly before, because Abby was able to hunt eggs...in 33 degree weather. I think she picked up 5 eggs before she decided her hands were cold and she was ready to go. She really is such a trooper.
And I will leave you with a family picture...

A Few Random Happenings
Finally, Abby also got a kitchen for Christmas, and she absolutely loves it. Her only problem with it is that the microwave doesn't work. She probably spent 10 minutes one day trying to heat a piece of bread. She would put it in, push the buttons, wait a few seconds, touch the bread, say "No?", and try the process again. She finally brought the bread to us and pointed to the microwave like, "It's broken..." Very fun!
