Our little ladybug (notice the design on her dress) had her 3 year old checkup this week. She is now 38 1/2 inches tall (75%) and weighs 33 pounds (75%). In addition to that, she is right on track as far as her physical development. Abby Grace had such fun playing the "games" the doctor asked of her to evaluate her muscles and coordination...push, pull, don't let me move your arms, etc. The only thing that needs a little work is her speech. This came as no surprise to us, and the articulation delay is slight, but we will have her evaluated by a speech therapist in the near future to address the issue. (I don't know if I have posted this before, but we previously had Abby evaluated just over a year ago. At that time, her speech was not delayed enough to qualify for assistance.) Oh, and this was a no shot visit to the pediatrician. YAY!!In other news, you will notice that Abby is holding a baby, specifically Kaiya Marie, in this picture. Abby Grace is ALWAYS holding a baby of some sort these days. In fact, I receive very detailed instructions each morning on how to care for her babies while she is at school, including things such as giving them milk, holding them while they sleep, and bringing them back to pick Abby up. It is so incredibly sweet.

oh... and abby is already taller and weighs more than macie. at her 3 year, macie was 34 1/4 inches tall, 25.8 lbs. 7 months later, i think she might be up to 28 pounds now, and she is not even close to abby's 38 inches... i am just hoping that macie at least grows a little taller than me... poor girl doesn't have a chance!! abby's lucky to have a tall mommy!
